Handsome little Creighton was born on April 7th, 2015 and I had the pleasure of meeting him and his Mom & Dad when he was just 6 days old!
For this session we went with very boyish/masculine color schemes! I love doing neutrals for boys but I also still like to do some sets with lots of color beacause, hey its kind of my thing, I love color!
This little bub was pretty relaxed and sleepy for the majority of his session, which made for great posing oppurtunities! I got to try out some new posing techniques, that I was thrilled to be able to acheive!
I have to say my favorite image is the one of him in Dad's hands. It is totally out of my ususal style, using black, but I adore the beautiful effect it gives, putting all of the attention on Creighton and the beautiful texture of his hair and skin. I also love the way his right hand is preciously embracing his father's and he did that all on his own!
Another new posing technique I tried out was the "cocoon" or "potato sack" pose with Creighton wrapped up tight and sitting up! Those images are actually composites of multiple photos put together to get the effect of him sitting up on his own when really he was safely supported by Mom and Dad! Briley, Creighton's mommy, had a special basketball outfit for us to use that her mother crocheted and this pose was perfect for it! Zach, Creighton's daddy, used to play basket ball so this was a special setup that I really wanted to nail for them!
Mr. Creighton did however have a busy schedule of appointments he had to attend, as new babies do, so our session was cut just a bit short. All in all, it was a wonderful session! You can check out all of my favorite photos below!
